Using eLearning training in a real emergency situation

When the Founder & Director Lee Stewart was travelling back from Canberra to Sydney after a Pandemic Planning conference the last thing on his mind was that he was about to use his own eLearning training.  He came across a six car pile up and had to use his first aid training in a real situation.

Custom DVD to help pubs and clubs with their Responsible Service of Alcohol Training

Learning Innovations has completed a 25 minute instruction DVD to help pubs and clubs with their RSA training and to comply with the Registered Clubs Act and the Liquor Act.  This DVD follows three patrons on their big night out where you see actual live security footage of how staff react and deal with the situation that gets out of control while reviewing key points of the legislation.
“We had to get very creative as we only had the security footage to work with and really needed to liven up the final presentation.  What we did was create an atmosphere whereby the learner could review legislation while still wondering what is going to happen next.  We added a timeline and a beer clock and some great background music and also named the characters MR Stripe, Green and White.  The feedback has been fantastic and it is a great teaching aid for RSA”

Skilling Australia Conference

On the 21st and 22nd of September Learning Innovations was supporting our partners Management Consultancy International (MCI) at the Skilling Australian Conference in Sydney.

The conference was aimed at addressing the nation’s skills shortages and the key note speaker was the Hon John Howard MP and Prime Minister of Australia.
It was important to note that during John Howard’s speech he noted that education is moving to be more on demand and needs to be accessible where and when the learners want it either in the classroom, workplace or at home.

We found John Howard’s speech to be very encouraging and we believe that eLearning has a large part to play in the future of Skilling Australia.

Learning Innovations and Management Consultancy International sign joint teaming agreement.

Learning Innovations and Management Consultancy International (MCI) signed a teaming agreement to look at joint development of online courses. Over the next few months the two companies will be working closely together to determine the right mix of online and offline content delivery and will look to offer specialised e-learning solutions. It is anticipated that the end product will not only help offer more choice and flexibility to Australian companies but also enable MCI to further capitalise on the growing Asian and Chinese markets.

Lee Stewart from Learning Innovations went on further to say:

“The partnership is an ideal relationship whereby we are dealing directly with subject matter experts from MCI who are already delivering a quality product in the classroom. By looking at what elements we can convert to an e-learning situation we can combine the best of both world’s and tap into the extensive experience that MCI has.”

Over the next few months expect to hear more about the partnership as the two organisations look to explore numerous possibilities.
